Day Camps & Summer Camps

Summer Camp

Summer is almost here and it’s time to think “Camp!” Camp season starts June 1 and runs through August 7. These 5 day camps are an excellent way for your animal enthusiasts to get the inside scoop about the Zoo’s amazing creatures. A typical camp week includes on ground tours, behind the scenes tour,  animal encounters/shows, science experiments, games, activities and crafts. Topics vary from week to week, making it easy to sign up for 1 or several. ½ Day camps are available for ages 4-5 yrs and run 8:30am-11:30am. Full Day, for ages 5-12, run 8:30am-3:30pm. Topics include: 1. Home Sweet Home: Wild vs Exhibit; 2. Zoocieties: Animal Groups; 3. Order Up!: Diets & Food Webs. For ages 13-15 yr olds, we offer 2 Junior Zoologist camps that run 8:30am-3:30pm which focus on Careers & Research. Activities may include barn cleaning, animal observations, tours, horticulture projects, citizen science data collection, ect.

½ Day: $110, Full Day: $250, Aftercare (3:30pm-5:30pm): $15. FOTZ members receive a 10% discount. 

Safari Day Camps

Schools Out? No Problem. The Zoo has the answer for your day care needs on those intermittent school holidays. Safari Day Camp is a fun-filled day of Animal knowledge and encounters, science experiments, crafts, and specialized tour that is sure to keep your animal lover, age 5-12, entertained. Camp runs 8:30am-3:30pm with an additional aftercare option/cost until 5:30pm.

Camp $50, Aftercare $15. FOTZ members receive a 10% discount.
