YMCA Camp Lakewood is an awesome overnight summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-17 and includes traditional camp, outdoor, leadership and ranch camp programs. With 5200 acres and 360-acre lake, kids get outdoors having fun, making new friends and learning new skills, all within the safe and trust environment of the Y. They participate in sports, equestrian, arts & crafts, caving, high adventure, all-camp games, water activities and much, much more. Even above the amazing activities, they also learn about setting, achieving & even exceeding goals, good character and being respectful through daily camp life. The camp counselors come from the world over (and right here at home) for the opportunity to be a part of Camp Lakewood. These enthusiastic and dependable young men and women bring with them their cultures, which further broadens a child’s horizon about the world around them. While creating an atmosphere of fun, they also take each child’s safety and welfare seriously.

YMCA Camp Lakewood offers multiple sessions beginning on June 3 and ending August 8, with additional electives available including advanced arts & crafts, paintball, high adventure, SNAG Golf and horsemanship. Children can opt to participate in four, seven or 14-day traditional camp and/or ranch camp programs, or can also take advantage of 1 week outdoor programs, 2-week Leaders-in-Training or 3-week Counselors-in-Training leadership programs. For any parents who want to check out YMCA Camp Lakewood before making any decisions, Open Houses will be held March 18, April 8, April 29 and May 20 from 1-4 p.m. Come out, meet the staff, tour the gorgeous facility and even participate in some of the activities. From December 27-30 every year, YMCA Camp Lakewood holds its annual Winter Camp. For 4 days/3 nights, kids ages 7-17 will enjoy many year round activities, including climbing tower, zip line and archery, as well as activities which are special and unique to winter camp. Some of the counselors from summer camp make their return to ensure the safety of every camper while having big time fun. Snow or no snow, children are treated to camp with a wintertime twist.
