Description of Services:
The World Bird Sanctuary rests peacefully on 305 acres of Missouri hardwood forest, next door to Lone Elk County Park and Chubb Trail. We are open daily from 8 am until 5 pm, and closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas. We feature free seasonal shows (call for details), nature trails, educational programs and picnic pavilions. The mission of the World Bird Sanctuary is to preserve the earth's biological diversity add to secure the future of threatened bird species in their natural environments. We work to fulfill this mission through education, propagation, field studies and rehabilitation.

We offer classes and programs year-round, at our site or we will come to you! Our educational presentations feature live animals and flying demonstrations by some of our birds. You can choose from a variety of programs with titles like, "Extreme Ecosystems," "Critters for Kids," and "Raptor Awareness."  Please contact our Outreach Coordinator for more information about the programs or pricing, or to schedule a program.
