The Michigan Science Center inspires curious minds of all ages with live stage shows, an IMAX® Dome Theatre, a Planetarium, 250+ hands-on exhibits, lab activities, special exhibits, and more. Don’t miss Spark!Lab, a special invention space from the Smithsonian; Creatures of Light: Nature’s Bioluminescence, a traveling exhibit available September 24, 2016 – January 15, 2017; Kids Town, a gallery just for preschool scientists; monthly After Dark events for adults, The STEMinista Project for 4th – 8th grade girls and more! Plus, the Michigan Science Center’s Traveling Science program brings demos and programs to communities throughout Michigan, making it a STEM hub for the entire state.
The Michigan Science Center offers Homeschool Learning Labs the first Wednesday of each month for elementary, middle and high school students. Labs run 35 – 40 minutes and cover a variety of science topics including engineering, biology, astronomy, chemistry and more. Cost is just $5 per member or $10 per non-member.
