Since 1925, the Community Music School (CMS) of Webster University has provided excellent music education programs to students of all ages and abilities in the St. Louis metro region. Longtime St. Louisans may remember us from earlier associations as CASA (St. Louis Conservatory and Schools of the Arts) or as the St. Louis Symphony Community Music School. Joining Webster University in 2001, our commitment to the highest standards has been constant throughout.
CMS programs include:
Individual lessons on all instruments of the band and orchestra, piano, voice, and guitar and harp
Orchestra programs including the String Ensemble, String Orchestra, Young People’s Concert Orchestra and
Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra
Ensemble programs including Percussion Ensemble and the Webster University High School Jazz Ensemble
The Preparatory Program for advanced musicians preparing for a career in music
Summer Programs including band camp, flute camp, string orchestra camp, chamber music encounter, summer
composition intensive, Kindermusik camps, and an adult pro-am.
